Quick update

For those of you checking in on us, tomorrow is our baby's due date!!! However, nothing "seems" to be happening.....yet, anyway. At my appt last Friday I was still just 1 cm (same as the week before) so they stripped my membranes which sounds so awful but it really wasn't even that uncomfortable. The Dr just wanted to try to get me to 2 cm, but who knows if it worked. I was a little crampy that night and EXTREMELY emotional which led to a huge cry fest at almost no warning. So apparently I am not in any way hormone deficient!

I have an appt tomorrow at 1:15pm and they told me that if nothing had happened by then we would talk about scheduling induction....oh boy! I am so tired of waiting around barely able to do anything, but at the same time I realize that these are the last precious days I have left with just me and Josh so I'm not sure I want to rush that away.

So, that's about it for us....we're headed to Walmart for travel sized toiletries so we can get our bag packed tonight (still haven't done that). Maybe the walking around will help.....and, by the way, if anyone knows of things that really help get labor going, please comment.

One more thing, we just changed our internet service and also had our home phone disconnected (trying to cut bills down) so for right now please send emails to my old hotmail address and call our cell phones if you need us. If you don't have this info, comment and I'll get it to you.

More soon....

Aw, I'll be thinking of you guys. The membranes being stripped worked for me...but sometimes not until the second time they did it.
A funny thing that always "brought on" labor for me was eating at Chili's. Every single time I had a baby, my last dinner was at Chili's. With Ben, we had to get the waiter to hurry up to get the check! It became a joke and then we just tried to guess...usually on the day they stripped the membranes...and eat at Chili's that night.
I'm sure your doctor has informed you of the most likely way to get labor started, but that is probably the last thing you want to do right now. ;-)

Hee hee....yeah, I've heard of a few ways to get it going, but Chili's is a new one! I wonder if On the Border will work just as well....we love that place! Thanks, Kelly!

LOL! I was thinking the same thing Kelly was thinking! I wasn't try to start labor, but we went on a really long walk the day Emma was born. I've also heard spicy food. I've been thinking about you all week. I'll pray this morning that the Lord would see fit to bring this little one to you today!! I can't wait to hear that you and Josh are finally parents!! How exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The day I went into labor, I had a HUGE laughing fest over my dog. She had jumped over the fence the morning of and we immediately went out and bought a no-jump harness (which is a piece of poo, BTW). Anyway, we put it on Cayman and she walked around SO funny. It was hilarious and I laughed SO hard from my gut...I mean those belly laughs that just make you hurt. I also walked around a lot that day with my mom, who basically "shopped" the baby out. My labor came on fast and strong, and was pretty quick for a first timer! I've been thinking about you a lot and I hope that you're doing well! I can't wait to hear the news of Baby's arrival!
